Test mode "1"

- Connect test lead to socket 6 on diagnostic unit.
- Switch on ignition.
- Activate test mode "1" by pressing test button once for approx. 1 second.
- Note all fault codes.
- Correct E.G.R. system faults when checking and fault-tracing procedure has been completed. Fig. 164.

2-4-1 System malfunction.
4-1-3 Signal from E.G.R. temperature sender is absent or faulty.


Erasing fault codes:

When all fault codes have been noted at least once, the fault codes should be erased. Press the test button for more than 5 seconds, release the button. After 3 seconds the LED will light.
Press the test button for an additional 5 seconds. Release the button and the LED will turn off. Press the test button for approx. 1 second. Code 1-1-1 will appear Indicating that there are no remaining fault codes.
