Installation:

Make sure that P U R glue is at room temperature (20~C = 68~F).

Temperatures below 20~C will cause glue to thicken and be more difficult to apply.

Check paintwork

Use primer plus touch-up paint to repair any flaws.

After any body repairs

If any part of the rear window aperture has been repaired or replaced, mask the body flange after undercoat has been applied. Remove masking tape when paintwork has been completed. (Masking is necessary because P U R glue will not adhere to top coat.)

If aperture flange has been given a coat of top coat, apply primer.

Important

Clean rear window aperture with cleaning fluid (supplied with adhesive kit)
Fit rear window support to lower edge of aperture

Clean edge of glass with cleaning fluid (supplied with adhesive)

Shake windshield primer bottle and pour into transparent applicator bottle

Screw top on to plastic bottle, turn bottle upside down and squeeze out primer until felt applicator is saturated (black).
Apply primer to glass

Coat glass generously without allowing primer to run.

Allow primer to dry until surface is dull

Fasten suction cups to front side of glass
Cut out bottom of glue cartridge

Remove desiccants. Puncture top. Fasten nozzle and alignment pin to cartridge and place cartridge in caulking gun.
Apply glue to glass

Hold caulking gun at right angles to glass with alignment end along outside edge of glass.
Glass should be fitted within 10 minutes, after application of glue

Position glass. Make sure that glass is in center of aperture (i.e. same gap on sides and top).

Pry up glass supports so that they touch glass

Depress glass with hands until specified position is reached

Measure sides and top edge. Outer edge of glass should be 7-9 mm from aperture flange.

Remove excess glue from corners

This makes it easier to move glass if required.

Refit trim mouldings

Reconnect heating wires

Wait at least 4 hours before driving
