If synchronizing cones, p/n 1232616-1, are changed for any reason in gearbox M45, M46, or M47, always measure length of dog-keys. If measured length is "short", replace with "long" dog-keys.

"Long" dog-keys are installed in all M45, M46, M47 gearboxes produced from February, 1990 onward.
