Modification of door switch

A new-type door switch is now used in production and is also available as a replacement part. The new switch includes a drain hole in the rubber boot, while the opening in the bottom of the switch unit is covered by tape. If used as a replacement part, the original type of switch should be modified as described below, prior to installation.

Tape opening

Place a 19 x 19 mm (3/4 x 3/4") piece of transparent tape over the opening in the bottom of the switch unit (A).

Punch hole in rubber shield
Remove rubber boot from switch and punch 4 mm (5/32") hole close to bottom edge (B).
