Altitude Compensator: Testing and Inspection
Check connections to aneroid valve:
Check that connections are correct. The blue hose leads from the central nipple to the intake manifold and the green hose leads from the smoke limiter to the edge of the sensor sleeve.

Check operation:
Connect a vacuum gauge with at least 30kPa vacuum or 70kPa absolute pressure capacity to the green hose to the smoke limiter. Fig. 160. Start engine. A 30kPa negative pressure should result. If the value is significantly different, change the aneroid valve.
