REAR AXLE TOOTHED WHEEL/INDUCTIVE PICKUP CLEARANCE


Correct specifications for clearance between speedometer/ABS toothed wheel and inductive pickup at rear axle are as follows:

12-tooth (non-ABS, speedo only) 0.85 +/- 0.35 mm (0.0335 +/- 0.0138 in.)

96-tooth (early ABS, -->'88) 0.6 + 0.13/ - 0.25 mm
(0.0236 + 0.0051/ - 0.0098 in.)

48-tooth (late ABS, '89-->) 0.6 + 0.2/ - 0.3 mm
(0.0236 + 0.0079/ - 0.0118 in.)

Note the following:

Sensors mounted in aluminum differential covers have fixed clearance that is not adjustable. TP 31685/1, pg. 3 specifications are correct. TP 31685/1, pg. 27 title should read as follows:
