Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Description and Operation

Temperature Sensor In The Control Panel:
The purpose of the temperature sensor is to energize the fan motor at temperatures above 18 °C (64 °F). At temperatures below 18 °C (64 °F) and if engine temperature is below 35 °C (95 °F), the fan motor will not start. This is to prevent cold air from being blown into the passenger compartment.
