Testing Open Loop, CI Engines

Disconnect the green wire from the Lambda sensor.


With the engine at normal operating temperature the reading must be stable and correspond to values in Table 1.


NOTE: Applies only to CI Engines. The reading for LH-Engines may vary with the sensor disconnected.

If the reading on the MONOTESTER shows an incorrect value, check the following:

^ Wiring and connector continuity.

^ That connectors are properly installed at the control unit, relays and frequency valve.
