Full Load Enrichment System B28F and B21FT(L)

FUNCTION CHECK B21T(L)

Connect Air pressure pump and gauge in the hose leading from the intake manifold to pressure switch on firewall.

With engine running, pump air until dwell meter displays a steady reading of 68 +/-2 degrees. Air pressure at that reading should be 20.3 kPA (2.9 psi).

NO READING OR INCORRECT READING

^ Check wiring/connector continuity.

^ Check vacuum hoses.

^ Check delay valve (automatic transmission only, yellow side facing away from pressure switch).

^ Check pressure switch.





FUNCTION CHECK B28F

On the B28F engines, this system can be tested by "closing" the microswitch at the throttle pulley. The reading should be 54 +/-2 degrees.

^ Check wiring/connector continuity.

^ Check microswitch.

^ Check control unit.
