Engine, Supporting in its Installed Position

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Engine Support Bridge (10-222 A)

Bracket with Hook and Spindle (10-222 A/10)

Adapter (10-222 A/28)

Adapters (10-222 A/29)

Square Pipe (T40091/1) from the Engine Support Basic Set (T40091) (Qty: 2)

Rail with Holes (T40091/2) from the Engine Support Basic Set (T40091)

Moveable Joint (T40091/3) from the Engine Support Basic Set (T40091) (Qty: 2)

Moveable Joint (T40093/4) from the Engine Support Supplement Set (T40093) (Qty: 2)

Mount (T40093/5) from the Engine Support Supplement Set (T40093)

- Remove the windshield wiper arms.

- Remove the left plenum chamber cover.

- Remove the hood release cable from the retainers - arrows - and move it to the side.






- Install the moveable joint (T40091/3) and the bracket with spindle and hook (10-222 A/10) onto the square pipe from the engine support bridge (10-222 A).

- Install the adapter (10-222 A/29) onto the square pipe.

Do not place the engine support bridge on the metal tabs for the hood release cable.

- Position the engine support bridge between the retainers for the hood release cable as illustrated.






- Install the moveable joint (T40093/4) and the adapter (10-222 A/28) onto the square pipe (T40091/1).

- Place the adapter (10-222 A/28) on the longitudinal member and slide the square pipe (T40091/1) into the moveable joint (T40091/3).






- Repeat the procedure on the other side of the vehicle.

- Slide the rail with holes (T40091/2) through the moveable joint (T40093/4) on one side.

- Slide the mount (T40093/5) onto the rail with holes (T40091/2) and then the rail with holes into the moveable joint on the other side.






- Install the locking pin and secure them.

- Tighten all the threaded connectors hand tight.

- Attach the hooks on the spindle to the lifting eyes on the engine and hold the engine in its installed position.
