Manual Lumbar Support

• Removing and installing the left seat is described. Removing and installing the right seat is identical.

Removing

- Attach the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136) to the engine/transmission holder (VAS 6095).

- Remove the front seat.

- Secure the seat on the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the front seat backrest.

- Remove the cover and the cushion from the front seat backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest Cover and Cushion ] Backrest Cover and Cushion.

- Attach the backrest on the fixture for seat repair (VAS 6136).

- Remove the bolts - 3 - (2 Nm) and loosen the lumbar support from the backrest frame - 1 -.

- Disengage both side retainers - 6 - and - 5 - from the backrest frame - 1 -.

- Disengage the side springs - 2 - and - 7 - from the backrest frame - 1 -.

- Disengage the lumbar support - 4 - from the upper mounts - arrows -.

- Remove the lumbar support frame - 4 - from the backrest frame - 1 -.






Installation

- Install in reverse order of removal.

• Check all the fasteners for damage and replace if necessary.
