Vents, Instrument Panel, Center, Vehicles with Climatronic, Golf from MY 04

Removing

- Switch off ignition.

- Pry the photo sensor - 1 - out of indirect ventilation - 2 - using a trim removal wedge (3409).






- Disconnect the wiring harness from the photo sensor.

- Remove bolt - 3 - (1.5 Nm).

• The components in the following illustration are shown removed.

- Insert two trim removal wedges (3409) as shown in seam between indirection ventilation - 1 - and vent - 2 -.

- Press metal clips - 3 - and - 4 - back with trim removal wedge (3409) and remove indirect ventilation upward out of mounts in vent - arrow -.






- Remove the two bolts - 1 - (1.5 Nm).

- Remove vent - 2 - in front area from mounts.

- Place two trim removal wedges (3409) in lower vent seam - arrows - and press vent upward out of instrument panel mounts.

- Press the tabs and disconnect the wiring harnesses from the front passenger airbag emergency lamp switch and indicator lamp.






Installing

- To install, perform the steps used for removal in reverse order.
