Roof Pillar, Adjusting

• Check gap dimensions for each fastened screw.

• All screws are microencapsulated and must always be replaced.






- Close roof until it locks.

Adjusting height

- Loosen bolts - 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -.

- Rotate adjustment screw for bolts - 4, 6 and 8 - evenly with Barrel Bolt Wrench (VAS 6368) until necessary height has been reached.

- Check position of bolt - 7 - on roof pillar. Correct number of spacer plates.

- Tighten bolts - 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -. Screw tightening torque: 9.5 Nm.

Adjusting gaps

- Loosen bolts - 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -.

- Adjust necessary gap dimension in elongated holes.

- Check whether adjustment screws contact roof pillar without pressure.

- Tighten bolts - 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -. Screw tightening torque: 9.5 Nm.
