Door Window

• This removal and installation procedure describes the left door window. The procedure is the same for the right door window.

Removing






- Remove the front door trim.

- Remove the outer window shaft seal. Refer to => [ Outer Window Recess Seal ] Outer Window Recess Seal.

- Remove the cover. Refer to => [ Door Cover ] Door Cover.

- Lift out the cap above the clamping screws - 2 - and - 6 -.

- If necessary, move the door window - 1 - until the clamping screws - 2 - and - 6 - for the door window are accessible.

• If it is not possible to do this because the window regulator motor is faulty - 4 -, then remove the motor. Refer to => [ Window Regulator Motor ] Window Regulator Motor.

• Then the door window can be moved.

- Loosen the clamping screw - 2 - (do not remove) and press apart the clamping brackets - 3 -.

- Remove the clamping screw - 6 - and the clamping bracket - 5 - from one another in the - direction of the arrow a -.

- At the same time, remove the door window - 1 - upward from the clamping bracket - 5 - in the - direction of the arrow b -.

- Remove the door window - 1 - upward from the window shaft - arrow c -.

Installation






- Slide the door window - 1 - in the window shaft - arrow a -.

• Make sure the door window is inserted correctly in the window guide - 2 -.

- Guide the door window without pressure into the clamping bracket - 4 - and gently lock it into the clamping bracket - 5 - - arrow b -.

- Align the door window tot he window guide - 2 - - arrow c -.

- Tighten the clamping screws - 3 - and - 6 -.

Clamping screw tightening specification for - 3 - and - 6 -: 6 Nm

Install in reverse order of removal.

• Check the function before installing the cap, the cover, and the door trim panel.
