Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter, Right (Bank 1)

Removing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Jointed Socket, 12 mm (T40220)

- Remove the engine compartment cover. Refer to => [ Engine Compartment Cover ] Service and Repair.

- Remove the oxygen sensor after three way catalytic converter. Refer to => [ Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter G130 ] Oxygen Sensor after Three Way Catalytic Converter G130.

- Remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter nuts - 2 - accessible from the top using the jointed socket, 12 mm (T40220).






To provide a better illustration, component location is shown from behind with the engine removed.

- Remove the noise insulation.

- Remove the right front muffler - B -.






- Remove the front driveshaft.

- Remove the catalytic converter to support bolt - arrow -.






- Remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter nuts - 1 and 3 - (accessible from the bottom).






- Remove the front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter.

Installing

Front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter and front muffler tightening specifications. Refer to => [ Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter Overview ] Front Exhaust Pipe with Catalytic Converter Overview.

Installation is carried out in the reverse order while noting the following:

- During installation, all cable ties must be installed at the same location.

- Replace gaskets and self locking nuts.

- Install the exhaust system free of stress. Refer to => [ Exhaust System, Installing ] Service and Repair.
