Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview, Transmission Side

• Lubricate the mounting points and contact surfaces with grease (G 000 450 02).





1 Hex nut, tighten to 23 Nm.

• Self-locking

• Always replace

2 Transmission shift lever

• Insert so that master spline aligns with selector shaft

• Can be replaced with selector mechanism installed

• Installed location --> [ Installation Position of Transmission Selector Lever/Relay Lever ] Shift and Selector Cables

3 Slide shoe

• Clip into actuator lever --> [ 5 Relay lever ]

4 Bushing

• Installed location --> [ Installation Position of Transmission Selector Lever/Relay Lever ] Shift and Selector Cables

6 Selector shaft

• With shift rod and shift cover

• Can be removed and installed with transmission installed

7 Bearing bushing

• For selector shaft

• Removing and installing --> [ 16 Bushing ] Transmission Housing, Servicing

8 O-ring

• Insert into surrounding groove of shift cover

• Install coated with gear oil

• Always replace

9 Cap

• For transmission breather

10 Lock washer

• For relay lever

• Always replace

11 Selector shaft seal

• Replace --> [ Selector Shaft Oil Seal, Servicing ] Selector Shaft Oil Seal, Servicing.
