Pump Injector Unit O-ring

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Assembly Sleeve (T10056)

Removing

- Remove the pump injector unit. Refer to => [ Pump Injector Unit ] Pump Injector Unit.

- Pry off the old O-rings from the pump injector unit extremely carefully.

- Above all, make sure that no burrs develop at the O-ring seat.

Installing

Always use the assembly sleeve (T10056) for installing the O-rings. Not using them may cause the O-rings to be damaged during installation.

O-rings without distinguishing colored marks are gradually introduced. Ensure the correct allocation of O-rings to grooves: ring strength decreases in direction toward injector.

Avoid rolling movements when sliding on the O-rings. O-rings must not be twisted on itself in the seat of pump injector unit.

- Pull off the heat protection seal together with the securing ring.

- Clean the seating surfaces for O-rings on the pump injector unit very carefully.

- Insert the assembly sleeve (T10056/1) up to the stop on the pump injector unit.






- Slide the upper, thicker O-ring carefully on the assembly sleeve and into the seat of the pump injector unit.

- Remove the assembly sleeve.

- Insert assembly sleeve (T10056/2) up to stop on Pump-Injector Unit.






- Slide the center, thinner O-ring carefully onto assembly sleeve and into seat of pump-injector unit.

- Remove assembly sleeve.

- Insert the assembly sleeve (T10056/3) up to the stop on the pump injector unit.






- Slide the lower O-ring carefully on the assembly sleeve and into the seat of the pump injector unit.

- Remove the assembly sleeve.

- Slide on a new heat protection seal together with the securing ring.

- Install the pump injector unit. Refer to => [ Pump Injector Unit ] Pump Injector Unit.
