Fuel Injector: Description and Operation

Pump Injector Unit Overview

Note the rules of cleanliness. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] Diesel Fuel Injection.

• Always replace seals and O-rings.






1 Bolt

• 20 Nm + 90° (1/4) additional turn.

• Always replace.

2 Lock Nut

• 30 Nm

3 Adjustment Screw

• Replace with each separation from the ball pin.

4 Rocker Lever Shaft

• With the rocker arms.

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Pump Injector Unit ] Pump Injector Unit.

5 Tension Block

6 Bolt

• 12 Nm + 270° (3/4) additional turn.

• Always replace.

7 Pump Injector Unit

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Pump Injector Unit ] Pump Injector Unit.

• Replace the ball pins when separating from adjusting screw.

8 O-ring

• Removing and installing, refer to => [ Pump Injector Unit O-ring ] Pump Injector Unit O-ring.

9 Heat Protection Seal

• Always replace.
