Brake System, Inspecting Visually for Leaks and Damage

Check the following components for leaks and damage:

• Brake Master Cylinder

• Brake booster (on anti-lock braking system: hydraulic unit)

• Brake pressure regulator

• Calipers

- Check that brake hoses are not twisted.

- Turn steering to left stop and to right stop. During this operation no brake hose must touch any vehicle components.

- Check brake hoses for porosity and cracks.

- Check brake hoses for chafing.

- Check all brake connections for secure mounting, leaks, or corrosion.

CAUTION!
Eliminate any malfunctions (repair procedure).
