Parking Brake Indicator Lamp and Brake System Warning Lamp





If the Parking Brake Indicator Lamp K14 (-3-/-1-), or on vehicles with the navigation system the Brake System Warning Lamp K118, does not go out after switching the ignition on, the malfunction may be:

a - Parking brake is applied

b - Switch for the Parking Brake Indicator Lamp K14 is malfunctioning or incorrectly adjusted

c - There is a wiring malfunction.

Vehicles with ABS/EDL

Complaint: "Vehicle has no EDL function"
For this complaint a possible cause of the malfunction may be that the brake light switch is incorrectly adjusted. Adjust the brake light switch.

A further possible cause of the malfunction may be that the brake light switch is not functioning.
