1 8 Nm

2 Guide tube

• For oil dipstick.

3 6 Nm

4 Coolant line

• With Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve (N316) bracket.

5 Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve (N316)

6 Seal

• Replace.

7 Vacuum actuator

• For intake manifold flaps.

• Make sure intake manifold flaps are in position when installing: Intake manifold flaps must be opened.

• Checking vacuum actuator for intake manifold flaps. Refer to --> [ Intake Manifold Flap Vacuum Actuator, Checking ] Testing and Inspection.

8 Intake manifold

• With intake manifold flaps.

• Checking with vacuum reservoir installed. Refer to --> [ Vacuum Reservoir in Intake Manifold, Checking for Leaks ] Vacuum Reservoir in Intake Manifold, Checking for Leaks.

• Removing and installing, refer to --> [ Intake Manifold ] Intake Manifold.

9 From Evaporative Emission (EVAP) canister purge regulator valve (N80)

10 Sealing plugs

11 20 Nm

12 To suction jet pump

• Suction jet pump assembly overview, refer to --> [ Suction Jet Pump Assembly Overview ] Suction Jet Pump Assembly Overview.

13 Grommet

• Replace if damaged.

14 To Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) valve (N316)

15 Intake manifold support

16 Throttle valve control module (J338)

• With throttle drive (for Electronic Power Control (EPC)) (G186), throttle drive angle sensor 1 (for EPC) (G187) and throttle drive angle sensor 2 (for EPC) (G188).

• When replacing, adapt the Engine Control Module (ECM) to the throttle valve control module. Refer to ; "Guided Functions ".

17 7 Nm

18 Gasket

• Replace.

• Ensure it is correctly seated in intake manifold.

19 Connection

• For crankcase ventilation.

• With Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) heating element (N79).

• From cylinder head cover.

20 Fuel rail

• For cylinders 2, 4 and 6.

• Spring retainers for fuel injectors must always be replaced before installing --> [ (Item 3) Spring retainer ] Fuel Rail with High Pressure Pump and Injectors Assembly Overview.

• Tighten uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside.

21 30 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) additional turn

• Replace.

• Tighten fuel rail uniformly, starting from inside and working toward outside.
