Locking Cable, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

• Adjustment Pin For Shiftlock 3 (3352 A)

CAUTION!
Locking cable adjustment must always be performed as described in the following.

Adjustment requirements:

• Locking cable in installation position

• Center console removed.

• Selector lever in position "P".

• Ignition key in removal position.

Adjusting procedure:

• Steering column is located in rear/bottom position.

- Loosen bolt - 1 - on mounting bracket.





- Attach Adjustment Pin For Shiftlock 3 (3352 A ) between locking lever - 2 - and locking eyelet - 3 -.

- To compensate for play, pull mounting bracket in direction of - arrow - until it stops.

- It must be possible to easily remove and insert Adjustment Pin For Shiftlock 3 (3352 A) in this position.

- Tighten bolt - 1 - at mounting bracket to 10 Nm.

- Remove adjusting gauge.

- Now the function of ignition key removal lock must be checked => [ Ignition Key Lock, Checking Function ] .
