Shift Interlock Cable: Adjustments

Locking cable, adjusting, 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required





^ Adjustment Pin For Shift-lock 3 3352 A

CAUTION: Locking cable adjustment must always be performed as described in the following.

Adjustment requirements:
^ Locking cable in installation position
^ Center console removed.
^ Selector lever in position "P".
^ Ignition key in removal position.

Adjusting procedure:
^ Steering column is located in rear/bottom position.





- Loosen bolt - 1 - on mounting bracket.
- Attach Adjustment Pin For Shift-lock 3 3352 A between locking lever - 2 - and locking eyelet - 3 -.
- To compensate for play, pull mounting bracket in direction of - arrow - until it stops.
- It must be possible to easily remove and insert Adjustment Pin For Shift-lock 3 3352 A in this position.
- Tighten bolt - 1 - at mounting bracket to 10 Nm.
- Remove adjusting gauge.
- Now the function of ignition key removal lock must be checked.
