O-Rings For Pump/injector Unit, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required







- Fitting sleeves T10056

Removing
- Remove pump/injector unit.
- Remove old O-rings very carefully from pump/injector unit. Ensure O-ring seat is not damaged.

Installing

NOTE:
- Always use fitting sleeves to install the O-rings. Otherwise the O-rings will be damaged.
- O-rings without different color identification have been gradually introduced into production. Observe the correct allocation of the O-rings by the grooves: the ring thickness decreases towards the pump/injector unit.
- Avoid rolling when sliding on the O-rings. The O-rings must not be twisted in the pump/injector unit seat.

- Pull heat protection gasket off together with safety ring.
- Carefully clean contact surfaces for O-rings at pump/injector unit.







- Install fitting sleeve T10056/1 onto pump/injector unit up to limit stop.
- Slide upper thicker O-ring carefully onto fitting sleeve and into pump/injector unit seat.
- Remove fitting sleeve.







- Install fitting sleeve T10056/2 on pump/injector unit up to limit stop.
- Slide center thinner O-ring carefully onto fitting sleeve and into pump/injector unit seat.
- Remove fitting sleeve.







- Install fitting sleeve T10056/3 on pump/injector unit up to limit stop.
- Slide lower O-ring carefully onto fitting sleeve and into pump/injector unit seat.
- Remove fitting sleeve.
- Slide on a new heat protection gasket together with safety ring.
- Install pump/injector unit.
