1 15 Nm

2 Sealing flange, belt pulley side

• With seal

• Must be located on dowel sleeves

• Removing and installing => [ Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side ] Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side.

• Install with silicone sealant (D 176 404 A2)=> [ Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side ] Sealing Flange, Belt Pulley Side.

• Do not additionally oil or grease sealing lip of oil seal

• Before installing, remove oil remains from crankshaft journal with a clean cloth

• Seal for crankshaft , ribbed belt side, replacing => [ Crankshaft Seal, Belt Pulley Side ] Service and Repair.

3 Chain tensioner with tensioning rail, 15 Nm

• When installing, pretension spring and hook in

4 Oil dipstick

• Oil level must not be above the max. mark!

• Marks => [ Oil Dipstick Markings ] Component Tests and General Diagnostics

5 Inlet spout

• For extracting oil

• With rubber grommet for the engine cover

6 Guide tube

7 Oil spray jet

• For piston cooling

8 25 Nm

• Install without sealant

9 Fitting sleeves

10 15 Nm

11 Suction line

• Clean strainer if soiled

12 O-ring

• Replace

13 Splash wall

14 15 Nm

15 15 Nm

16 Oil pan

• Clean sealing surface before installing

• Install with silicone sealant (D 176 404 A2)=> [ Oil Pan ] Oil Pan.

17 Seal

• Replace

18 Oil drain plug, 30 Nm

• Replace screw with permanent sealing ring

19 Oil pump

• With pressure relief valve 12 bar

• Before installing, check to be sure both alignment bushings are present (for centering oil pump/cylinder block)

• Replace if running surfaces and gears are scored

• Removing and installing => [ Oil Pump ] Oil Pump.

20 Chain sprocket for oil pump

21 25 Nm

• Use counter-holder (T10051 ) to loosen and tighten

22 Chain

• Mark direction of rotation before removing
