Sealing flanges and flywheel, assembly overview

Sealing flanges and flywheel, assembly overview:

1 - Oil seal
^ Do not additionally oil or grease oil seal sealing lip
^ Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using a clean cloth

2 - Sealing flange - belt pulley end
^ Must fit on dowel sleeves
^ Install with silicone sealing compound D176404 A2

3 - Cylinder block

4 - Flywheel
^ To remove and install lock flywheel with flywheel retainer 3067

5 - 60 Nm plus 1/4 turn (90°)
^ Replace

6 - Intermediate plate
^ Must fit on dowel sleeves
^ Do not damage/bend when assembling

7 - 15 Nm
8 - Sealing flange - transmission side
^ With sealing ring
^ Replace complete only
^ To remove and install remove engine and transmission, flywheel and oil pan
^ Do not additionally oil or grease oil seal sealing lip
^ Before installing, remove oil residue from crankshaft journal using a clean cloth
^ Use protective sleeve supplied when installing
^ Remove protective sleeve first after sealing flange has been slid onto crankshaft journal
