Fuel Filter: Service and Repair



Fuel Filter, Servicing







1. Supply line
- From fuel tank
- White or with white marking
- Check for secure seating
2. Return hose
- To fuel cooler
- Blue or with blue marking
- Check for secure seating
3. O-ring
- Replace
4. Regulating valve
- Installed position: Arrow points toward fuel tank
- When changing filter, remove securing clip and take regulating valve off with fuel lines still connected
- Below +15 degrees C: Flow to filter open
- Over +31 degrees C: Flow to filter closed
5. Securing clip
- Check for secure seating
6. Return hose
- Check for secure seating
7. Supply line
- Check for secure seating
8. Fuel filter
- Fill with diesel fuel before installing
- Flow direction is marked by arrows
- Do not interchange connections
- Replace if damaged
9. Seal
- Replace if damaged
10. Water drain plug
- To bleed, remove securing clip and take regulating valve off complete with fuel lines still connected
- Loosen and allow approx. 100 cu.cm fluid to drain
