Front Wheelhousing, Replacement

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions.

- Longitudinal member for upper wheelhousing already removed.

NOTE: The following spot welders (inverter) are recommended to carry out spot welding procedures properly.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
- Spot welder (Inverter) VAS 6237
- Spot welder (Inverter) VAS 6237 L
- Inverter spot welder VAS 6238 with accessory package VAS 6238/1
- Spot welder (Inverter) VAS 6239
- Spot welder (Inverter) VAS 6249

Removing







- Separate the original connection.
- Remove residual material.

Installing

Welding

Replacement part
- Wheel housing

- Fit new part to vehicle standing on its wheels or on alignment bracket set and secure.
- Check fit with other components.







- Weld in wheel housing, Gas-shielded arc plug weld seam.
- Weld in wheel housing, Straight-line spot weld seam.
- Install upper wheelhousing longitudinal member.
