Engine pump assembly, removing and installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required





^ Torque wrench V.A.G 1331





^ Vehicle diagnostics, measurement and information system VAS 5051

Engine pump assembly, removing
- Switch hydraulic system pressureless with vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
- Remove left rear wheelhousing liner.





- Remove hydraulic lines - 1 - and nuts - arrows -.
- Remove left taillight.





- Remove adapter from structure by removing bolts - arrows -.
- Remove C-pillar trim from left side.
- Remove roof close-out strip.
- Remove D-pillar trim.
- Remove cover for rear lock carrier.
- Remove cargo floor.
- Remove left rear backrest.
- Remove left sidewall trim.

Vehicles with auxiliary heater and air conditioner units
- Remove heater and air-conditioner unit.

Continued for all vehicles
- Separate electrical connections between electrical system and engine pump assembly.





- Remove bolts - arrows - and remove engine pump assembly from vehicle.

Engine pump assembly, installing
Installation is performed in reverse sequence.

After installation the hydraulic system must be bled with vehicle diagnosis, testing and information system VAS 5051.
