Torque Specifications







Cylinder head
Insert new cylinder head bolts and hand tighten.





Tighten cylinder head bolts in tightening sequence as follows from inside to outside.
Pretighten all bolts 30 Nm
Then tighten all bolts 50 Nm
Tighten all bolts (1/4 turn) (90°) further using a rigid wrench.
Afterwards, tighten all bolts again 1/4 turn (90°) further


Intake manifold
Intake manifold to cylinder head 13 Nm


Camshaft Bearing cap





A - Intake camshaft
Tighten bearing caps 5 and 9 alternately and diagonally to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.
Install bearing caps 1 and 13 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.
Install bearing cap 7 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.
Install bearing caps 3 and 11 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.





B - Exhaust camshaft
Tighten bearing caps 6 and 10 alternately and diagonally to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.
Install bearing caps 2 and 14 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further. Install bearing cap 8 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.
Install bearing caps 4 and 12 and tighten to 5 Nm and 1/8 turn (45°) further.


Main Bearing cap
Tightening torque 30 Nm + 1/2 turn (180°)
2 x 90° turns further is permissible


Connecting rod
Tightening torque 30 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)
^ Tighten to 30 Nm to measure radial play, do not turn further


Vibration damper
Tightening torque 10 Nm


Drive plate
Tighten securing bolts 60 Nm + 90° (1/4 turn) (90°) further (additional rotation can occur in several stages).


Dual mass flywheel
Tightening torque 60 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°)


Oil pump
Tightening torque 23 Nm


Coolant pump
Tightening torque 8 Nm
