Oil pump with chain drive, assembly overview





1 - Vibration damper/belt pulley
^ Observe installed location

2 - Oil pump
^ Driven by crankshaft, using chain drive
^ Only replace as complete unit
^ Attachments

3 - Oil cooler
^ Ensure sufficient clearance to surrounding components
^ Coat contact surfaces to flange, outside of sealing ring, with sealant AMV 188 001 02

4 - 30 Nm

5 - Oil filter element
^ Observe change intervals
^ Remove with tension strap
^ Fasten by hand
^ Observe installation instructions for oil filter

6 - Oil seal
^ Replace
^ Oil before assembling
^ Snaps into tabs of oil cooler

7 - O-ring

8 - Oil supply pipe
^ From oil filter to engine oil circuit

9 - Oil supply pipe
^ From oil pump to oil filter

10 - Bracket for oil supply pipes

11 - 10 Nm

12 - Oil drain plug, 30 Nm
^ Replace plug, if with permanent sealing ring

13 - Oil seal
^ Replace sealing ring, when installed as replacement part

14 - Oil pan, lower part

15 - Seal
^ Replace, if installed

16 - 22 Nm

17 - Oil pan, upper part

18 - Guide tube
^ For oil dip stick
^ Replace O-ring





Oil pump attachments
1 - Oil pump - cannot be disassembled
2 - Pressure regulator valve, 40 Nm
3 - 20 Nm
4 - 25 Nm
5 - Chain sprocket, check for wear
