Sealing cap, driving into replacement cylinder head

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
^ Drift VW 295
^ Sealant AMV 188 001 02

A replacement cylinder head may be used to replace the left or right cylinder head. A sealing cap (core plug) must then be installed to the relevant front side.

Work sequence
- Coat sealing cap lip with sealant AMV 188 001 02.





- Drive in sealing cap using needle bearing drift VW 295 until outer lip of cap seals with chamfer end of cylinder head.
