Oil Supply Line, Removing And Installing
1. Oil supply line
- To turbocharger
- Note sequence for removing and installing
2. union nut, 22 Nm
- To loosen and tighten, counterhold connecting piece
3. Seal
- Always replace
4. Banjo fitting, 25 Nm
5. Clamp
6. 10 Nm
7. Bracket
8. 25 Nm
- Always replace
9. 10 Nm
10. 10 Nm
Disassembly and assembly sequence of oil supply line
Recommended special tools and equipment
- V.A.G 1331 torque wrench (5 to 50 Nm)
Removing
- Remove noise insulation pan.
- Place a receptacle under vehicle.
- Remove air filter.
- Remove union nut and banjo fitting on oil filter housing.
- Remove bolt.
- Remove union nut on turbocharger.
- Remove bolt from bracket.
- Remove nut and remove bracket.
- Disconnect oil supply line.
Installing
WARNING: Installation of the oil supply line must be performed exactly in the sequence described below.
- Append bracket with nut loosely on exhaust manifold.
- Install union nut and banjo fitting on oil filter housing hand-tight.
- Install union nut on turbocharger hand-tight.
- Tighten union nut and banjo fitting on oil filter housing to 22 Nm.
- Tighten union nut on turbocharger to 22 Nm.
- Position clamps on oil supply line and tighten its bolts to 10 Nm.
- Tighten nut to 25 Nm.
