Threads in longitudinal, servicing
Servicing the thread in the weld nuts in longitudinal member is possible under certain circumstances.
- Servicing must only be performed once per thread.
- If secondary servicing is required, the weld nut must be replaced.
- Follow work instructions in VAS repair kit owners manual.

CAUTION: Wear protective glasses when drilling!

- Have responsible foreman or next superior check thread repair.
- Repair any damage on underbody sealer General notes; body repairs; corrosion protection measures.
- Use only the VAS repair set listed in the table for the repair.
