Shift Mechanism and Printed Circuit Board Cover, Removing and Installing

Shift mechanism and printed circuit board cover, removing and installing, 02E, 6 SPD. DSG A/T

Removing
- Remove selector lever handle.
- Switch off ignition.
- Remove center console.
- Disconnect printed circuit board connector.





- Carefully pry frame -1- up at the four corners (arrows) and remove.
- If retaining tabs (arrows) are damaged the cover must be replaced complete.
- Take selector mechanism cover off upward complete.





- Take printed circuit board out of frame (arrows).

Installing

Note: Make sure when installing the printed circuit board that the contacts are not damaged and that the printed circuit board is not bent.





- Position printed circuit board on frame (arrows).





- Position cover -1- carefully onto selector mechanism and lock in position using retaining tabs (arrows) (Qty 4).
- If retaining tabs (arrows) are damaged the cover must be replaced complete.
- Connect printed circuit board connector.
- Install center console:
- Install selector lever handle.
