Selector Lever Knob, Removing and Installing

Selector lever knob, removing and installing, 02E, 6 SPD. DSG A/T

Removing
- Shift selector lever to "P".





- Slide sleeve -1- downward.
- Pull button -2- out of handle -4- onto stop (arrow).
- Secure button against springing back with, for example, a wire pin -3-.
- Remove handle from selector lever.

Installing
- Shift selector lever to "P".





- Pull button -2- out of handle -4- onto stop (arrow).
- Secure button against springing back with (for example a wire pin -3-).
- Installation position: Button facing driver.
- Push handle onto selector lever onto stop.
- Remove wire pin.
- Press key -2- to lock.
- Button must then spring back as far as stop.
- Slide sleeve -1-, in a twisting motion, upward until tab in sleeve perceptibly engages into slot in handle -4-.
