Internal Oil Line, Removing and Installing

Internal oil line, removing and installing
Special tools and equipment

- 3381 Oil line installer
Faulty O-rings on the internal oil line allow ATF to enter the differential. This then becomes overfilled and oil will seep out of the breather holes of the differential.
If an oil line is removed, it should generally be replaced.
The oil line should only be inserted using 3381 Oil line installer. Otherwise there is a danger of the oil line becoming bent, which will cause leaks to occur.

Removing
- Remove valve body.

- Lever internal oil line off transmission housing using a screwdriver.

Installing
- Replace O-rings.
- Insert internal oil line into 3381 Oil line installer.
Open side of 3381 Oil line installer faces toward outside of transmission.

- Using a plastic hammer, knock the oil line into the transmission housing until the tool makes contact.
Ensure that the oil line is kept straight; knock both ends in evenly.
- Install valve body.
- Fill with ATF; check ATF level and top up.
