Cylinder Block Assembly: Service and Repair

For clutch repairs, refer to Transmission and Drivetrain; Clutch, M/T.
1. Oil seal
- Remove to remove sealing flange
- Install using 10-203
- Lightly oil sealing lip
2. Woodruff key
- Ensure tight fit
3. 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.)
4. Sealing flange
5. Gasket
^ Replace
6. Cylinder block
^ Crankshaft, removing/installing refer to Crankshaft, Engine.
^ Pistons and connecting Rods, disassembling and assembling refer to Piston, Engine.
7. 60 Nm (44 ft. lbs.) + 1/4 turn (90°) further
- Replace
8. Flywheel/drive plate
^ to remove and install flywheel counter-hold with 3067
^ Drive plate, removing/installing refer to Transmission and Drivetrain; Flex Plate
9. 10 Nm (7 ft. lbs.)
10. intermediate plate
^ Must be located on dowel sleeves
^ Do not damage/bend when assembling
11. Sealing flange with oil seal
- Only replace complete
- Lightly oil sealing lip of oil seal
12. Oil seal
^ Replacing
13. intermediate shaft
14. 0-ring
- Replace if damaged
15. Sealing flange intermediate shaft
