Test sequence








Piston projection at TDC must be measured when installing new pistons or a short engine. Depending upon piston projection, install the corresponding cylinder head gasket according to following table:





Cylinder head gasket, identification
^ Part No. = black arrow
^ Holes/notches = white arrow

Note: If differing figures are obtained when measuring piston projection, the highest figure should be taken when selecting the gasket.
