Questionable Signal or
Short To Positive or
Open Circuit, Short To Ground

Special Tools, Testers And Auxiliary Items:
- Turbocharger Tester VAG 1397/A

Work Sequence:
- Check \Wastegate Bypass Regulator valve N75 using Function 08 Output Diagnostic Test Mode
- Check hoses and connections for damage, leaks and routing
Display will appear as shown:

- Press 0 and 8 buttons to select Function 08 "Read measuring value block"
- Press Q button to enter input
Display will appear as shown:

Input display group number XX


- Press 1 and 0 buttons to select "display group 10"
- Press Q button to enter input
Display will appear as shown:

Read measuring value block 10 HELP

- Compare channel 2 Barometric Pressure sensor F96 with channel 3: Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor G71
Specification: pressures must be equal (tolerance ± 30 mbar)

If specified pressure not obtained:
- Compare pressure display with a reference barometer (e.g. VAG 1397/A Turbocharger Tester (tolerance ± 30 mbar)

If channel 3 value deviates:
- Disconnect pressure hose from ECM

If channel 3 value still deviates:
- Press -> button
- Press 0 and 6 buttons to select Function 06 "End data transfer"
- Press Q button to enter input
- Switch OFF ignition
- Replace ECM J248
