Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair



AIR CLEANER, DISASSEMBLING AND ASSEMBLING





1 - Rubber mount
2 - Air cleaner element
3 - Air cleaner housing, upper
4 - O-ring
- Replace if damaged
5 - Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor -G70-*
6 - 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
7 - Temperature regulator
- For intake air preheating
- Metal connecting pipe or with notch to regulating flap
8 - Gasket
- Replace if damaged
9 - Mounting plate
10 - To intake air duct
11 - Vacuum line
12 - Vacuum unit
13 - Air cleaner housing, lower
14 - Bushing

The diagram is valid for engine coolant temperature sensor G62 and intake
air temperature sensor G72.

A - resistance values for the temperature range 0 ° - 50 °C (32 ° - 122 °F)
B - resistance values for the temperature range 50 ° - 100 °C (122 ° - 212 °F)

Examples:

- 30 °C corresponds to a resistance value of 1500 - 2000 Ohms
- 80 °C corresponds to a resistance value of 275 - 375 Ohms
