A/C Compressor Mounting Bracket, Removing/Installing (4-Cylinder Gasoline Engine)







Note: The A/C compressor mounting bracket and related parts can be removed/installed without discharging the A/C system

1 - Mounting bracket, for Generator (GEN) and A/C compressor
- Generator (GEN), removing/installing
2 - Spring tensioner
3 - Nut - M8
- 30 Nm (22 ft lb)
4 - Compressor support
- installing:
- loosely install support using bolts -5- and -6-, do not tighten bolts,
- thread bolt -6- into threaded bushing -7- until support contacts bushing
- first tighten bolt -5- to 45 Nm (33 ft lb), then tighten bolt -6- to 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
5 - Bolt - M10 x 30
- 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
6 - Bolt - M10 x 30
- 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
7 - Threaded bushing
8 - A/C refrigerant hoses
9 - A/C Compressor
- removing from bracket:
- loosen and unscrew bolts -11- a few turns but do not remove
- press out threaded bushing -7-
- completely remove bolts -11- and remove compressor from bracket
10 - Ribbed drive belt
11 - Bolt - M10 x 112
- 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
12 - Bolt - M8 x 42
- 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
13 - Tensioner (idler) pulley
