Engine Starts Hard or Fails to Start Cold

Check the following:

1. Ignition coil [1]

2. High tension cable [1]

3. Spark plugs [1]

4. Air pre-heat valve vacuum switch on air cleaner assembly [2]

5. Coolant temperature sensor faulty [3]

6. Fuel pump and fuse Testing and Inspection

7. Fuel pump relay Testing and Inspection

8. Fuel filter clogged Digifant I

9. Vacuum (intake air) leak

10. Low fuel pressure. Refer to "Fuel System Pressure Test".

11. Fuel injection control unit faulty [3]
