Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Memory - Erasing

Requirements:

^ DTC Memory has been interrogated and codes displayed.

^ After last DTC has been displayed, Press --> key.

DTC Memory has been interrogated, display now reads:

Rapid data transfer HELP
Select function XX

1. Press 0 and 5 key (this selects program 05 for erasing DTC memory)

^ Read display:

Rapid data transfer Q
05-Erase DTC memory

2. Press Q key to enter input

^ Read display:

Rapid data transfer
DTC memory is erased

^ The DTC memory is now erased

Note: If the engine is started or the ignition switched OFF between reading and erasing the DTC memory, no erasure of the memory will take place. Remember to read the DTC memory first, then erase.

3. After reading and erasing the DTC memory, road test the vehicle and read the DTC memory again.

^ When reading the DTC memory again, "No DTC's recognized" must appear.

4. Press --> key

^ Erase procedure is now complete
