Valve Clearance: Specifications

NOTE: This vehicle may be equipped with more than one engine. Only the 4cyl. 1.8 Liter JH engine requires adjustment of the valves. The following specifications only apply to the JH engine equipped vehicles. The other 4cyl. 1.8Liter engines use hydraulic lifters that do not require adjustment.

VALVE CLEARANCE SPECIFICATIONS:
Engine Warm:
Intake 0.20-0.30 mm (0.008-0.012 in.)
Exhaust 0.40-0.50 mm (0.O16-0.02O in.)
Engine Cold:
Intake 0.15-0.25 mm (0.006-0.010 in.)
Exhaust 0.35-0.45 mm (0.O14-0.O18 in.)
