Cabriolet - top boot snaps

The snaps for the boot on vehicles built before VIN 15HK019691 may corrode. Do not replace the entire boot for this complaint, instead send boot to a trim shop to replace snaps. The elastic securing strap with snap is available from the Parts Department under P/N 155 871 585B.

To install the elastic securing strap, follow these measurements:

^ Cut existing elastic 25 mm (1 inch) from top boot edge.

^ Hold new strap over the remainder of the elastic on boot.

^ Measure distance from edge of boot to center of snap - should be 50 mm
(approximately 2 in.).

^ Sew on strap.
