Oil Pressure Warning System, Checking

Work sequence




- remove 0.3 bar oil pressure switch (brown insulation) insert into test unit and connect wire 1 (blue)
- connect test unit to cylinder head in place of oil pressure switch
- connect test lamp 2 to wire 1 and positive (+) battery terminal
- connect wire 3 (brown) to ground
^ test lamp must illuminate
- start engine and slowly increase RPM
^ test lamp must go out at 0.15-0.45 bar If not, replace oil pressure switch
- disconnect wire 1 from 0.3 bar switch and connect as follows
- connect wire 1 to 1.4 bar oil pressure switch (black insulation)
^ test lamp must illuminate at 1.2-1.6 bar pressure. If not replace oil pressure switch
- continue increasing RPM. Oil pressure must be min. 2.0 bar at 2000 RPM and at 80°C
