Engine starting difficulty could be caused by an incorrectly wired (reversed) thermo-time switch and/or the wrong temperature range of thermo-time switch.. To remedy this condition:
^ Check the wiring using the wiring diagram. Rewire or repair wiring, whichever is necessary.
^ Install a 35~C (95~F) (switch-point) thermo-time switch Part Number 043 906 163A.

^ Wire on the left should be white with a green tracer and go to the "W" terminal on the cold start valve.
^ Wire on the right should be red with a black tracer and go to the "G" terminal on the cold start valve.
