Connecting Rod

Step 1

Install and alternately tighten the bolts of the connecting rod cap in several steps.





Torque 20 Nm (204 kgf-cm, 15 ft-lbf)

Step 2

Mark the front of the connecting rod cap bolts with paint.





Further tighten the cap bolts an additional 90° as shown in the illustration.

Oil Clearance
Standard oil clearance 0.03 to 0.062 mm (0.0012 to 0.0024 in.)
Maximum oil clearance 0.07 mm (0.0028 in.)

Connecting rod bearing thickness
Mark 1 1.489 to 1.493 mm (0.0586 to 0.0588 in.)
Mark 2 1.494 to 1.497 mm (0.0588 to 0.0589 in.)
Mark 3 1.498 to 1.501 mm (0.0590 to 0.0591 in.)

Connecting rod small end bore diameter 20.012 to 20.021 mm (0.7879 to 0.7882 in.)
