MIRROR (EXT): OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR: INSPECTION; 2013 MY Corolla [07/2012 -]

1. INSPECT MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/o Retract Mirror)

(a) Inspect mirror sub-assembly operation.

(1) Disconnect the mirror connector.





(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror sub-assembly RH.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table below.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror sub-assembly RH.

2. INSPECT MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/o Retract Mirror)

(a) Inspect mirror sub-assembly LH operation.

(1) Disconnect the mirror connector.





(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror sub-assembly LH.

(b) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table below.

3. INSPECT MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Retract Mirror)

(a) Inspect mirror sub-assembly RH operation.

(1) Disconnect the mirror connector.





(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror sub-assembly RH.

(b) For each position: Disconnect the battery, set the mirror position by hand, and then connect the battery and check the retractable mirror movement.





OK:





NOTICE:
* Disconnect and reconnect the battery between each mirror position check.
* The mirror position cannot be changed manually when the battery is connected. To change the mirror position manually, the battery must be disconnected first.

(c) Inspect outer mirror heater operation.





(1) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the mirror face, as shown in the table below.

4. INSPECT MIRROR SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Retract Mirror)

(a) Inspect mirror sub-assembly LH operation.

(1) Disconnect the mirror connector.





(2) Apply battery voltage and check the operation of the mirror.

OK:

If the result is not as specified, replace the mirror sub-assembly LH.

(b) For each position: Disconnect the battery, set the mirror position by hand, and then connect the battery and check the retractable mirror movement.
